Usually I'm not able to stumble across a real rewarding site that involves getting legitimate reviews, but a few days ago that is exactly what I did. Pubby.co has an interesting set up. You get a free 10 day trial to see if you like it, but basically you pay to have your book on their site. The readers don't get paid for reviewing, as that would be against amazon's review policies, which seem to get longer and more descriptive to the point that it's as if they don't really want you to be able to get reviews. But that's none of my business. Other than that I'm losing reviews because of it.
I have gotten two reviews so far, that were both 5 star, and one review is in the works, but is a 3...which will be my first 3 star review for my book. Which does make me "OUCH" a bit. But as long as it's not something simple like "This book sucks" and the person goes on to say why they didn't enjoy it, I'm totally cool with it.
Some people even consider a few lower rated reviews for their book a good thing, it shows that there is a real smorgasbord of people reading your book.
