Dressing up for Halloween has been one of those things that I look forward to most each year. I don't quite know what that says about the type of person that I am, but I'd like to think that ten years from now I'll be just as excited about it as I ever was.
I have finally figured out what I want to be. For the past few Halloweens I have had a steampunk theme of sorts. Mostly human skeleton based masks. This year, that changes (at least the human aspect of it a little bit). If the mask is still in stock when I try to order it at the end of the month. I try to dress up as things that hopefully can't be duplicated by others, so I pull from all sorts of things. Last year I got one of those "Purge" red masks that lights up and had a body skin that was a skeleton, and put my hair in pigtails a la Harley Quinn, and carried around a fake bat that an ex from awhile back made for me. So I was "Harley meets Purge".
This mask just screamed "True Detective Season:1" to me. I think it'll work with the steampunk pieces.... Am I the only one that plans her costume out months in advance?
I just ordered the corset and will soon order the leggings. I think this costume will be one of my favorites. Any idea what you're being for Halloween?
