The cover photo for this post is my ideal aesthetic, minus the possible leather chair. I'm trying to be more aware and not buy leather anymore as much as I can help it, and minus the light with the little balls too, basically I like the flooring and the size and shape of the chair. And the brightness of the room, not that my room will achieve that kind of light, because it'll be in the basement, but you get the gist.
I always seem to find myself starting a dozen different little projects and never really pulling the trigger on any of them for the long haul. This time, I am bound and determined to decorate and furnish one of my basement rooms. For the time being it has a laminate wood looking floor. I started on this project years ago. My Dad never thought that I would really take the time to get all the junk out of the room. Then I was tasked with mopping the concrete floor for what felt like years on end, but was only a few hours of my life. I did pick a paint color before that, but I may repaint it something else if what I plan to get doesn't look good with the creamy orange. The color ended up being a lot darker than what I had imagined it to look. I'm starting to wonder if a white brick peel and stick wallpaper would look tacky or just weird. I don't mind weird, but tacky I can't handle.
Being that I'm as of yet still unsuccessful in the monetary department of writing, I spend some of my time through out the day playing games for amazon gift cards, which is what most of the room will end up being decorated from. Only a few minutes ago I got a really good deal on a pendant light. I'm not usually gung-ho about geometric shapes, but I absolutely loved how it looked. The site said it was the only one left, which always puts me in a panic. After I ordered it, it still says there's one left on the page, unless it takes time for the site to process that the last one has been ordered. Or maybe that's just how the seller operates, and if so it certainly worked on my gullible-butt. I'm hoping to add a cool looking square outdoor type of carpet because it's going to be in the basement, and I don't want it to get moldy? I guess. I'm still on the hunt for that magical carpet. I have found an upholstered swivel chair on amazon that I really like, hopefully it'll still be there by the time I have the money for it, and hopefully it won't get moldy in the basement. Fingers, toes, eyes, and ankles crossed on that one.
The aim for this "Creation Room" is to be a place that I can create a possible podcast and youtube videos for my youtube channel that I've done nothing with, save create a little icon of my face.
