Okay so the last time I printed a book with Amazon it was with their acquired "CreateSpace" which is no longer used by them, or perhaps is no longer used at all. I got a proof with the KDP Print and I had suspicions that things wouldn't exactly be as I hoped and imagined.
The first proof I got back in 2017 did not have the "Not For Resale" stretched across the entire book, which really is disappointing. Unless I screwed up somewhere along the way since I may not be used to the new system if they have changed it in anyway.
When I was submitting the manuscript it was saying there was an error that needed to be fixed and so I let them "fix" it and this is what I ended up with...I'm also noticing that with the white paper they use the text bleeds through from the page before it. I'm not sure how they thought "this" was fixing it, but...it took my 288 pages and tinified it and chopped off the chapter and white space above and put it below, so that everything is literally jacked up. But is still all there, in very hard to read print.
The only silver lining is that I wanted a proof so that I could make notes in the margins for new scenes so that I can stitch it together better, now I have all the space I need for doing that. I'm just glad that the cover looks okay for the most part, minus the gray line that cuts everything into two.
